Screen printing is a printing technique in which the mesh is used to transfer ink to a substrate, except in areas where the ink is impermeable by closing the stencil. The blade or scraper moves on the screen to fill the opening mesh with ink, and then the reverse stroke makes the screen contact the substrate instantaneously along the contact line. As the screen bounces back after the blade passes, this causes the ink to wet the substrate and pull out of the mesh.
